DJ Bio in
the Portland Mercury (unedited)

Dj Wicked
has been a staple of the Portland hiphop scene for years, earning
a status of one of the best and busiest DJ's around. As his
website www.JustPlainTerror.com shows, he prefers the macabre
side of things, but he also happens to like MILF's (Mom I'd
Like To Fuck" - not the Moro Islamic Liberation Front).
His new CD asks the question burning the minds of many men:
Got Milf?
Mercury: So
what's up with the Got Milf title?
Wicked: Back
in Highschool I used to have this huge crush on my buddy's mom
(which also happened to be my band teacher). So on the night
of our big Christmas concert, I told her my feelings and one
thing just led to another. I found myself backstage with her
making our own sweet music if you know what I mean? Ever since
then I've always had a fascination with Milfs, and with my new "Got
Milf?" CD, it's sort of my way of giving back to them. Thank
you Ms. Letourneau!
Mercury: Do
you love Milf's? and why?
Wicked: Of
course. You gotta lov'em? Women are like a fine wine....they
only get better with age.
Mercury: What
are some advantages of "having Milf?" Good for the
bones maybe?
Wicked: Well,
I can tell you this much....it definitely does a body good!
Mercury: Is
there ever any hot MILF action at your shows?
Wicked: There's
always hot milf action at my shows! When I tell people to come
check me out as I spin the "golden oldies", I'm not
just talking about the music.
Mercury: Are
there multiple meanings for Milf?
Wicked: Yeah,
Ive heard of a couple of different meanings for "Milf".
There's the Moro Islamic Liberation Front which is a terrorist
group that formed in the Philippines in the late 70's to establish
an independent Islamic state for the Moros. But those aren't
the "Milfs" that I'm referring to on my CD, I promise
you.
Mercury: Does
your CD really explain what a milf is?
Wicked: Yeah,
you'll know what a "Milf" is within the first 30 seconds
of listening to the CD. It literally spells it out for you. Act
like ya know.
Mercury: Do
you think those MILF hunter websites are for real? What do you
think about those?
Wicked: Man,
I hope they're for real. If not, I don't know what I would do?
It would be like finding out Santa Claus didn't exist all over
again, or that pro wrestling was fake....so they say.
Mercury: Do
you practice your technical skills a lot?
Wicked: As
much as I possibly can, but never enough.
Mercury: How
do you feel about the Portland hip-hop scene?
Wicked: The
Portland hip-hop scene is way behind the times and I think it
sort of always has been. You have a tiny handful of artists that
are really making moves of any significance. The older generation
has diminished for the most part, and there is an entire new
slew of youngsters that are coming up. I've been there for the
entire ride and I've seen a lot of people come and go. More than
anything, I'm excited to see where the Portland hip-hop scene
will be in say 5 years from now. Not until that point do I think
we'll have caught up with everybody else in terms of status,
credibility and quality.
Mercury: Do
you have any thoughts on the underground vs. mainstream debate?
Wicked: Man,
the debate between Underground vs. Mainstream hip-hop is one
that seems will never end. All I really have to say on the issue
is just "keep it true" and do what you can to preserve
the culture. Oh, and FUCK Rammin' 59.5! And if I ever mysteriously
turn up missing, somebody question Paul Allen.
Mercury: It
seems like you're one of the busiest DJ's in Portland
Wicked: Yeah,
I'm a busy guy indeed. I've paid my dues and earned my stripes.
I straight bust my ass for everything I have, and I take a lot
of pride in being self made. No other DJ's out here can match
my hustle.
